生命科学の急激な進展に伴って，新しい事物や概念を表す用語が次々と誕生している。ライフサイエンス辞書（LSD）プロジェクトでは，1993年以来，様々な学問領域の研究者が協力し合って広範な生命科学（ライフサイエンス）の学問諸領域で使われる専門用語，対訳，用法を収集分析するとともに，電子メディアで活用することのできる電子辞書やパソコンツールを開発し，ほとんどを無償で配布してきた。LSDプロジェクトで制作する辞書は，すべて学術論文の計量的な解析を行って制作した独自のデータベースに基づいている。このプロジェクトの現状と手法や経緯について紹介するとともに，今後に計画している生命科学オントロジーへの発展の可能性について論じたい。
In line with the recent progress in life sciences，vast numbers of words for new substances and phenomena have been appearing．Since1993，We have been analyzing English texts of medical journals selected mainly from PubMed and collecting frequently-used terms with their frequencies，concordances，typical usages，definitions and translations．The data were recorded in a versatile database and edited into text-based English-Japanese and Japanese-English dictionaries（Life Science Dictionary−LSD）intended for public release．Here we describe the current status，methodology and history of the LSD，together with future plans regarding life science ontology．

専門分野に現れた新語の中から，今後重要な語として普及するものを，自動的に抽出・判別する手法について検討する。こうした予測が可能になると，用語辞書の編第時に有用であり，またある分野で今後注目を集める研究やトピックが把握しやすくなり，トレンド分析的な面でも有用であろう。本研究では約17年分の情報学文献に現れた語を調査対象とし，新語の出現直前の語彙の状況による予測，また従来の専門用語抽出尺度による予測の有効性を検討する。
A method for recognizing the words which are to be important in special domains will be reported. If such method is obtained，it will be helpful for selecting entry terms when compiling dictionaries and for detecting emerging trends. A set of informatics papers which ranges 17 years is used for investigation and the state of the vocabulary which have new word appeared is regarded as the clue for forecasting. How the measures Which have been proposed in automatic term extraction are effective for such task will be examined.

様々な事象に内包される複雑性は，問題解決のために必要な合意を困難なものにする場合がある．その一つの要因として，プレーヤーが各々の局所的なデータ・モデルを参照し，新しい各々の解を導くことが挙げられる．そこで本稿では合意形成を合理的に進めるための情報知識共有システムについて論じる．
Complexity in an event makes it difficult to solve its problems．One of the factors，contributing to the difficulty，is that each player finds out “his／her”truth with reference to his／her own“local”data and model．In this study，a Data Utilization System aiming at consensus−building was proposed．This was developed using the Java language．

本稿では，概念間の関係や用語の意味を記述した用語体系として，Webを始めとする情報提供サービスとともに用いられる用語辞書や階層分類からなるディレクトリの構築とその利用について紹介し，用途に応じてこれらの用語体系を複数のサイト間で相互連携可能とする手法とその展望について述べる．
This paper describes how terminologlcal systems such as Web directories，term dictionaries and taxonomies are built and used. A method of interoperating terminological systems over multiple Web sites along with their own purposes are also described．
